The PTO at Southwood Valley Elementary was organized in the school year of 1983-1984, with the objective of promoting the welfare of our students and providing an opportunity for parents and teachers to work together to enhance the education of our children. The focus of our meetings is directed at aiding both parents and educators in training children. The support of parents is essential in helping PTO succeed in this endeavor. The PTO coordinates various fundraisers and activities to help our students have the best possible education. The PTO helps to annually fund numerous educational field trips, a scholarship for a graduating former student of SWV, and many other areas of support. The PTO will hold meetings once a month, and meetings are open to all. With the support of parents, faculty and staff we continue to enhance the educational environment of our children.
